One day, I will write a full blown article on promotion ideas--maybe even soon, but for now I'd like to highlight a very creative idea by one of our fellow LDS writers, James Dashner. His idea is to encourage us bloggers to advertise HIM by offering a free book if we do so. Can I say again what a great idea this is?
One reason it's so great is he has found a way to start the "word of mouth" cycle before his book has even been published. He's also endearing himself to his readers by offering us a book if we'll do it. So, at the risk of sounding redundant, can I say again what a great idea this is?
Anyway, why don't you check out his site? You'll learn a little bit about James Dashner, his work, and his upcoming book, "The Journal of Curious Letters," published by Shadow Mountain.
And hey, when I get one of his free copies, I just might feel the need to write about it in an upcoming "What They Did Right" entry. What do you think?

I think you're right, Ronda. That Dashner Dude is a bright and shining star alright. He's climbing high in the writer sky.
